ABOUT
“In Color In Japan” is the debut book of the award-winning street photographer Shin Noguchi, with an introduction by Chuck Patch. Featuring 158 powerful images, this collection tells the story of everyday public and private life in Japan, capturing both the beauty and complexity of Japanese society and culture. Japanese photographers introduced Shin Noguchi to a visual language for expressing the emotions he felt about his native society and culture. He likes to employ recurrent motifs that at times raise an image to metaphorical levels, and people in his street scenes are often faceless, seeming tools of a frantically rushed society.
