Sam Haskins started his professional life as a graphic designer. He soon discovered that the medium of photography provided a more challenging, demanding and exhilarating way of realising his visual ideas than the conventional paper, pencil and paint.
Photo designers have an essentially purist attitude in the manipulation of images. Sam Haskins is a super purist who will not tolerate any laboratory created effects. All these pictures were therefore made in the camera using unadulterated photographic techniques.”
