ABOUT
Neuromanti is a publication that collects 10 images by Roberto Kusterle taken from the series “A silent mutation” of 2007. The title of the collection is freely inspired by the science fiction novel 'Neuromances' by William Gibson, published in 1984, considered the manifesto of the cyberpunk genre.
In a not too distant future, the entire world is immutable. Humans are solitary, silent and disconnected from reality. They act only by brushing against each other, without ever being able to contribute anything to the other's life. The only ones capable of changing are the Neuromancers. They know that their body is only a limit to overcome and their heads can become whatever they want thanks to plant grafts. These implants allow you to restore connection, increase perceptions and recover the relationship with the outside world. Roots, shrubs, berries, leaves, flowers, various plant elements reconstruct some parts of their head, becoming neck, ears, hair, skin, nervous system. Like true shamans, Neuromancers possess superhuman physical and mental abilities.
