British artist Mark Borthwick is among the influential generation of photographers who emerged in the nineties that broke through conventions of traditional fashion photography. This retrospective shows the development of his very personal intuitive style; seamlessly moving between personal work and his stories for magazines like Purple and Self-Service as well as campaigns for avant-garde designers like Martin Margiela, successfully integrating elements of architecture and design, performance and collage.
