Another classic by Koudelka. After leaving Czechoslovakia for political asylum in 1970 Koudelka started his state of exile. For years he was stateless and travelled around with bare essentials and ‘photographing just for himself’. He started working on photographing the gypsy population, minority groups and everything that is to be exiled in some way. This book is compiled of photographs from that era, gritty & beautiful black and white images from Koudelka’s long travels.
Good condition ex-library. Best ex-library copy I have seen. Dust jacket is covered in protective mylar. Some labels & residue on the flyleaf. Some writing on the colofon page. Inside of the book is in nice condition, aside from some edge discoloration and some fingerprints around the page edges.
