ABOUT
This book comprises a selection of panoramic images that illustrate Koudelka’s singularity well. They are long shots, geometrical compositions divided between dark and bright, shadows and light. The images make a virulent assessment of the anarchy that mankind imposes on nature and on itself. They compose a dream space, a deserted, un-dated, barely situated ‘elsewhere’. Here is an entirely mineralized world, freed of humans, chaotic and marked by disaster.
Ultimately, another landscape has been recomposed, another setting, fashioned by the photographer’s gaze.
