From March 1988 to February 1989 the photographer travelled through the Netherlands with a camper and a large camera. He photographed landscapes, villages, sometimes special events such as the launching of a ship, a multiple car crash, or a folkloristic procession. He aimed at capturing everyday occurrences and show what is special in that (in terms of beauty, expectation, peace, surprise).
