Aura seeks to metaphorically recreate the secret network of connections that operate in what we call reality, through a universe of images charged with hidden clues in which the profound meaning of events lies beyond the space and time of narrative, approaching the sudden discharge of poetry. One of the main aspects is the resonance between photographs that give rise to new images, some of them composed of an impossible or chimerical sum but that could be considered true from a dreamlike perspective, generating an omnipresent ambiguity that makes us doubt whether we are seeing or imagining. 

Aura is the third photobook by David Jiménez, an author best known for Infinito , a book published in 2000 and considered a landmark work in contemporary Spanish photobooks, and for Versus , published in 2014 by RM. This new title is the natural continuation of those works, and at the same time represents a turning point in his output.
