ABOUT

For Colette Pourroy, introspective reflection and artistic exploration are intimately connected. Over time, her personal narrative has asserted itself in an authorial approach where photography became the most fitting language — capable of capturing both reality and imagination, facts and their echoes. Long dormant, this voice took shape with a specific project: to tell the story of her life and that of her loved ones. Since then, through visions and recollections, Colette Pourroy has relentlessly explored her family saga — the stories told and those denied, the pain and the nostalgia.

Here, the figure of the mother takes center stage. Under the influence of her magnetic storytelling, we follow her through a labyrinth of clues, allusions, and illusions. Without the thread of a linear story, we are left only with our imagination to find our way, interpreting the signs she leaves behind throughout the pages.
