ABOUT
Since 1959, Barbara Klemm has worked for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. Her photojournalistic travels have taken her to many countries across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas, and her photographs have been exhibited worldwide. She has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Dr. Erich Salomon Prize from the German Society for Photography, the Hugo Erfurth Award, and the International Photography Prize of the City of Leverkusen in collaboration with AGFA-GEVAERT AG.
This book presents a selection of Barbara Klemm’s portraits of artists, taken throughout her long career. These striking and often deeply personal photographs capture encounters with figures who have significantly shaped cultural life in Germany and beyond over the past decades.
