Rankin, one of Britain's foremost photographers, is known for his startling imagination, humor and a collaborative approach that has marked him out as one of the 1990s' outstanding image-makers.

RankinWorks explores the entire body of his work during the decade: over 200 photographs cream off the very best of his early anti-fashion shots for London-based style magazine Dazed & Confused, later advertising work using digital manipulation, and witty portraits celebrating the process which translates celebrity personalities into the public imagination. His fashion shots provide a unique insight into the decade's evolving trends in fashion, music, art, film, and his iconic portraits of celebrities from music, cinema and the arts- Madonna, David Bowie, Bono, Richard E. Grant and Kate Moss-have defined a new ironic genre of their own.
